Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Built Confident ("we", "us") collects when you use the Protagonist Test on this website, why, and the choices you have. Built Confident, [COUNTRY], is the data controller.
The short version
- We store your quiz answers and result so we can show your result and improve the quiz.
- We only store your email if you type it in and tick the consent box.
- We don't sell your data, use advertising trackers or set tracking cookies.
- If you're under 16, we never collect your email.
- You can unsubscribe or delete your data at any time.
What we collect

Your answers are linked to a random ID created by your browser, not to your name. If you join the email list, your answers are linked to your email address so we can send you tips that fit your goals.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. We save your quiz progress in your browser's local storage so a refresh doesn't wipe your answers. You can clear it any time in your browser settings. If bot protection is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile may process limited device signals only to confirm you're human (see Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy).
Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)
- Legitimate interests: running the quiz, keeping it secure and measuring how it's used.
- Consent: sending you emails. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
Children
The quiz is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you tell us you're under 16, we hide the email signup and never collect your email. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their email, contact us and we'll delete it.
Who we share data with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We use these service providers to run the site:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, database, security and bot protection.
- An email delivery provider (once emails start): only to send the emails you signed up for. We'll name the provider here before we use it.
We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Quiz answers and usage data: up to 24 months, then deleted or fully anonymised.
- Email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. After you unsubscribe, we keep the address on a suppression list so we never email you again, unless you ask for full deletion.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the UK and EU GDPR and California's CCPA/CPRA), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent. You can delete your email and all linked quiz data instantly using the "Delete my data" option at the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us. We reply within 30 days. We don't sell or "share" personal information as the CCPA defines it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Cloudflare runs a global network, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, these transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored in a private database. Access to the dashboard is restricted to authorised people only.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell subscribers by email.
